Two weeks from today there will be over 70,000 music fans furiously packing, preparing and plotting their course to Manchester, Tennessee for Bonnaroo 2010.
This year will be my 8th year in attendance. I don’t think I’ve ever done anything 8 out of 9 years in a row in my life but somehow I’ve managed to make it to Manchester each year no matter where in the world I was before that. Last year I was in New Zealand and came over for the festival, in ’02 I drove down from Iowa. This year, I’ll be flying into Iowa and driving down with someone I’ve never met before — all in favor of the best weekend of my life — 8 years running.
Due to my own personal excitement regarding this year’s festival, I will be attempting to write daily about bands that will be performing at Bonnaroo in addition to many of the festival’s wonderful alternative forms of entertainment.
Make sure to follow us on twitter @music4president, there you will find we are creating two lists you can also follow, one of which is of anyone we know that is going to Bonnaroo and the other are (naturally) the bands that are performing.
Stay tuned for many many more updates all the way through the festival.
